YouTube has launched a new UI and a sidebar dashboard that is more user-friendly and organized. The new YouTube dashboard consists of buttons like Add Channels, What’s Trending, and Suggested Channels. Another thing we noticed is that YouTube has integrated user accounts with Google+, recent videos shared by your Google+ contacts in their streams will appear on the YouTube landing page as well. YouTube offers users more control due to the fact that more people tend to watch while their online rather than just watch cable TV.
Aside from the visual facelift and improve tool bar, YouTube is replacing its metric, Insight, with YouTube Analytics. YouTube will enable users get detailed stats through the new overview section. Reports will be consolidated by a Data Filter which will allow stats to be filtered according to Geography, Date, and Content. Furthermore, an interactive map will be included in the report which will be tracking the geographic distribution of metrics. This function will be useful in determining which countries your videos are relevant and most-viewed. YouTube’s Ted Hamilton posted some features that will improve YouTube Analytics:
More Detailed Reports: Analytics now includes more detailed statistics so that you can have a more precise understanding of your content and audiences.
Audience Builders: Discover which videos are driving the most views and subscriptions.
